Although your first Amitoi, Helpie, returns to Whisperion, she doesn’t leave you alone. Forest Sapling Grover takes her place, becoming your first permanent Amitoi. Though no Amitoi can replace the spitfire, Helpie, you’ll soon notice that Sapling Grover is an upgraded companion who helps you pick up loot.

Throughout your adventuring, you’ll acquire a multitude of different Amitoi, each with their own attitudes.

Amitoi Benefits:

  • Periodic healing
  • Picking up loot
  • Alerting you to important things in your environment
  • Additional buffs by collecting more Amitoi
  • Amitoi expeditions at the Amitoi House

Amitoi Basics

  • The Amitoi UI is accessed via ESC → Amitoi. Here you can view the Amitoi collection and discover how to acquire any Amitoi not collected.
  • Amitoi can be obtained through various in-game means including Adventure and Exploration questlines, Leveling Log, and Boss drops. Some Amitoi were rewards for expired Battle Passes or other events and can’t be obtained.
  • Amitoi are NOT shared between characters on the same account.
  • Only 1 Amitoi can be summoned at a time.
    • Summon a different Amitoi through the Amitoi UI.
    • Amitoi that are on expedition at the Amitoi House can’t be summoned. See the Amitoi Status section marked on the pic below.
  • The Lithograph tab at the top left of your UI opens the Amitoi buffs UI. Extra buffs for your character are gained by sheer amitoi numbers and Pal Synergy.
  • Each Amitoi has a Region attribute (Plains, Forest, Shore, Desert, Ruins). Matching the Amitoi’s region to the expedition map’s region will increase their chances of acquiring a rare pouch.

Amitoi Healing & Looting

A summoned Amitoi has the ability to heal your character periodically as long as you have World Tree Leaf in your inventory.

If you don’t already have some, World Tree Leaf can be purchased at the Sundries NPC vendor in any major city or town.

Your summoned Amitoi also helps you pick up loot. If a lot of loot is dropping too quickly, you may have to go after it yourself though.

You can increase the speed and range of looting by purchasing Solisium’s Blessing from the P2W shop (Korea only).

Amitoi Alerts

Besides chatting, giving advice (wanted or not), and talking smack, a summoned Amitoi will alert you to important things in your environment like Mystic Globes and Portals.

The Amitoi in the picture alerts me with a message and a glowing orange arrow pointing in the direction of the Mystic Portal. The hints are almost too fast though if you aren’t paying attention!

Amitoi Buffs

Additional buffs for your character can be acquired by collecting different Amitoi. View these effects through the Amitoi Lithograph Book.

Amitoi teams can grant even more buffs through Pal Synergy.

Amitoi House & Expeditions

After you have completed the quest “A Small But Mighty Companion” in Chapter 3: Veterans Never Die, you’ll gain access to your very own Amitoi House where you can send your adventurous companions on expeditions across the map to different regions in hopes of gaining even more loot like coin, materials, gems, Abyss tokens, and rares like the Frost morph.

Portal to your Amitoi House via the round Amitoi button on your hotbar or the square Amitoi button located to the left of your minimap. Exit your Amitoi House via the Exit Door icon located beneath your minimap. You’ll return to the exact spot you left the world.

Please see this Amitoi Expedition Guide for more details.
